Let Anthony Weiner Own Obamacare (Though Barack Obama May Take Issue)

He wants to. At a property-owners meeting earlier this week back in his district (in Middle Village, Queens) — where both he and his opponent, Bob Turner, spoke — Congressman Weiner announced that he “wrote the bill.” Here’s the videotape: 

 

He admits he’s “not as familiar with” the Senate bill — since the 75-hour committee work he boasts about wasn’t what the House passed on March 21. But he wants to own the legislation anyway — “the bill and I were one.” Must be because it’s so increasingly popular.
