As near as I can figure it out, the liberal position of 2 weeks ago on the 9/11 commission was that it needed to be given more time to do its work. The liberal position on the commission on WMD intelligence is that it has to hurry up, so that it can report before next year. I’m guessing the optimal time for both reports will turn out to be during the third week of October. Trying to move it one way or the other will just be more evidence of Bush playing politics with national security.
