When I read a certain brand of “mainstream” editorial and listen or listen to finger waggers about the mess in Washington and the need to stop the food fights, the bickering, the “childishness,” one gets the sense that what these people would really like to see is for the Republicans to come out and simply decide to stop being bad guys.
