The other day I noted that libertarians seem to have swung toward congressional Republicans between 2004 and 2006 even as the general electorate swung the other way. David Kirby, who co-wrote the work from which I was drawing, emails to caution me that the sample sizes don’t allow us to say with great confidence that libertarians voted more Republican (although they do suggest it).
