The Lighter Side of NRO: ‘Hey Man, just be glad I had fast reflexes!’

An e-mail this morning:

I hope you don’t think less of me, but when I read Michael Fumento’s excellent essay, all I could think of was Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times talking to Jefferson’s (the big football player — Forest Whitaker — was that his first major role?) little brother after he wrecks Jefferson’s Trans Am.

As an aside, I think my second favorite line in the movie (how can you pick, there are so many… “This is U.S. History, I see the globe right there”) was when he then told Jefferson’s brother that his Dad was a TV Repairman and had an awesome set of tools and that he can fix the car…

Thanks for all, Kathryn.  NRO is an an incredible community that I am glad to be part of, even if in a really small way.  My donation (my third this year?) for $100 — is on the way.
