I’ve written twice today about the woeful state of American newspapering, so we might as well round out the weekend with one more. From the Washington Post:
Obama is wrong. Traditional journalism isn’t dead.
By Danny Hayes
So what’s it about? Apparently something Obama said to Amazon last week:
Hayes looks at President Obama’s assertion that traditional journalism is dead, and finds it wanting.
It’s a bit of a snoozeroo, so don’t bother ploughing through Professor Hayes’s leaden prose, but instead scroll down to the foot-of-the-page correction:
Correction: This post originally stated that Obama said “traditional journalism is dead” in his interview with Amazon. That was incorrect.
Oh.
