A reader has tracked down an online audio clip of Yeats reading “The Lake

Isle of Innisfree.” In my opinion, he doesn’t read it well. This seems to

be chronic with poets. One of the oldest items in the BBC archives is a

cylinder of Tennyson reading “The Charge of the Light Brigade.” He totally

messes it up.
