Live from the Supreme Court

SCOTUS is hearing oral arguments today in a couple of cases, not least of which is Mass. v EPA, where a bunch of Attorneys General and green environmental groups are suing EPA to get them to recognize they need to regulate carbon dioxide because of the damages already being caused by global warming.  That, of course, would mean EPA regulating energy use in a highly intrusive fashion.  CEI’s General Counsel, Sam Kazman, reports that the justices gave both sides a hard time, but predicts that the plaintiffs will probably lose on Standing grounds, and opens the possibility that the Court might further restrict standing in environmental cases, which would probably be a very good thing.
