Lonegan’s Long Shot

Since Gabriel Gomez lost in Massachusetts, New Jersey conservative Steve Lonegan is the GOP’s last, best hope of winning a Senate seat this year. He’s the likely Republican nominee in October’s special election to serve the remainder of the late Frank Lautenberg’s term. Over the weekend, I spent time with him at his home in Bogota, N.J. Unlike Gomez, Lonegan is running as a tea-party ally in a blue state. Here’s a recent speech he gave at the “Audit the IRS” rally:
