In Loving Tribute

She was more than simply a family pet, and more, too, than man’s best friend. Molly was my “dogter.” She didn’t have the fan club that Cosmo has, but her devotees were faithful. Even K-Lo, with all her dog issues, came to appreciate her endless enthusiasm and love of all people, mailmen included. Her neuroses were many, but all too endearing. She shuffled off her mortal coils on Sunday, called to doggie heaven after a remarkably swift descent from some form of cancer — barely diagnosed before it was time to say goodbye. She gave me a good decade of devotion and boundless joy. I shall miss her. Rest in peace, my devoted friend.
