I was flipping through the review section of the current London Spectator and was delighted to see a review with this headline on pg. 70 (sorry no link). Even better was the first sentence: “Right from the start, I have to say that I am strongly biased in Lowry’s favour.” Alas, it was a review of an exhibition by the British artist L.S. Lowry. Another thing–the illustration of the review is captioned: “`Derbyshire Landscape,’ 1954, by L.S. Lowry; private collection.”
