The Company He Won’t Keep

Luis Miranda Jr., the founder of the Amber Charter School, was invited to speak at a conference of the National Alliance of Public Charter Schools that will take place in a few days. (He is also the father of Lin-Manuel Miranda and the publisher of the Manhattan Times and the Bronx Free Press.)

Miranda is a strong supporter of terrorist Oscar López Rivera. But the man has his limits, and he has reached them. I have learned that Miranda has canceled his appearance at the conference. His reason: Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will also be addressing the group.

Some lines can’t be crossed.
