Marriage in New York

With other business to do before the session ends, it seems the governor may be stuck in his attempt to persuade another lawmaker to switch his vote on same-sex marriage, due to substantial concerns about religious liberty. Given the assembly has voted on the current bill, he is stuck with that one, unless he tries snowing someone over with a Stupak-reminiscent signing statement.

Still, it is hard to believe he would bring it up without being confident of a win.

I do hope that was a miscalculation on his part.
