Every once in a while, people talk about “recycling cops” — I have. Every office, or many offices, have them: the people who are zealous about recycling, and on you about it like hawks. Well, here at the Democratic convention, there are real recycling cops, or helpers — green-shirted young men and women who are at clusters of trash boxes all over the site. They direct you where to put your various items of trash. Give you an example: Tonight, I had a dish of ice cream (as I am wont to do). I had to throw away a bowl and a spoon — and the young woman made sure those items were put in two separate boxes.
Just want you to know that the Dems are on it.
