Matthews Goes Gingrich-Plus

I’m at my favorite cigar shop (Signature Cigars on Wisconsin Ave in D.C.). They have MSNBC on, and I just heard Chris Matthews go on a relentless, sanctimonious tear about the threat to democracy posed by Romney’s super-PAC ads against Gingrich. He explained that the “only” thing he could compare it to was the firebombing of Dresden. “Dresden! Dresden! That’s what I’m going to be talking about tonight,” he yelled.

Yes, this is the same Chris Matthews who suggested the “ballistic” language of Sarah Palin, Sharron Angle, Michele Bachmann, and various talk-radio hosts led to the Tucson shooting.

Once again: To Hell with you people.

The Sliming of Bari Weiss

If you follow at all the ideological war that’s erupted around the New York Times editorial page, then you know Bari Weiss. It’s too much to call Bari conservative. A better description might be heterodox. On some issues, particularly social issues and immigration, she’s a woman of the Left. On others — ... Read More
