The New York Times actually really truly has an editorial on the NASA soap opera today. It’s conclusion seems to be NASA has to hire shrinks so something nuts doesn’t happen to Major Nelson on the way to Mars. (Really.) Of course Major Nelson was talking to a genie, so, yeah, they are right and a few decades late — perhaps explaining the state of the space race at the moment.
