MBTA Officer Richard Donahue Doing Well After Shooting by Jihadists in Boston

I had brain freeze writing my weekend column. I mistakenly said that the terrorists had shot and killed two police officers. Of course, they killed one officer, MIT Officer Sean Collier, while seriously wounding, but fortunately not killing, MBTA Officer Richard Donahue. I’m happy to report that Officer Donahue’s brother Ed called a local radio station in Boston yesterday and reported that he is recovering very well — “awesome,” Ed Donahue said.

My sincere apologies for the error. And my prayers of gratitude for the service and bravery of both Officer Donahue and Officer Collier.
