McCain Derangement Syndrome is now a line used to describe people who argue against McCain. But grammatically it would seem to be a criticism of McCain (see the Washington Post piece today, the testimony of Hastert, Santorum, Cochran, and others). It surely refers to some of the commentary attacking the “talk-radio mafia,” admonishing conservatives not to “sulk” if we don’t get out way, and so forth.
