This e-mail reflects just how close to home judicial activism hits:
Let’s change the law to require child rapists to be placed in a prison’s general population.
As a father my blood boiled when I read about what that monster (the rapist, that is) did. There is a special place in Hell reserved for animals like that, and the sooner they get there, the better.
While I don’t believe in the death penalty in general (I prefer massive amounts of hard labor for life, preferably north of the Arctic circle), this is how it would go down if someone did this to my daughter: if they couldn’t get the death penalty from the state, I would find a way to carry it out. At which point I would be eligible for it. Ironic, isn’t it?
