There is a line of John McCain’s that virtually every Democrat is repeating: “The fundamentals of our economy are strong.” Well, they are. Anyone who knows anything about economics knows they are. But a great many don’t — and it is that ignorance that the Democrats are exploiting, brazenly. You couldn’t take demagoguery out of politics if you tried.
