Both Schumer in that Politico item and Josh Marshall here suggest going after McCain as a rich guy. I’m not sure that Obama should want to get drawn into a battle over personal narratives with McCain (as opposed to talking about domestic issues and McCain as representing a Bush third term), but this is part of what I wrote about today. It’s become liberal gospel that whatever the question is the answer is hitting back twice as hard.
