On MSNBC this morning, the Senate GOP Leader had high praise for Sen. John Thune (R., S.D.), a potential 2012 presidential contender. “I think John is an extraordinarily impressive individual,” he said. “I hope he will run. I think he would make a great president of the United States.”
But will he endorse Thune? “I wouldn’t want to give him that handicap,” McConnell laughed.
