Men in Space, The Poem

Just in from a reader with greater literary skills than I:

Every book, play and poem ever writtenEvery painting on every wall in every museumEvery symphony, every song, every jingleEvery thought, every creation, every thing that makes us human, we roll up into a single object that we thrust into the rest of the universe from time to time to say in a manner still weak and tentative but someday strong and inevitable, to the rest of the “all” that is in fact all: “Here we are — we are part of the universe too.  We are humans, we matter, and we are reaching out to you.”
