Well, there’s a great new piece out in the Dallas Observer, the alt-weekly, detailing the crusade of Susana Loera, a Mexican-American whistleblower who used to work in the consulate here in Big D. She alleges that at least one consular official routinely advised Mexican nationals in trouble with the law here to flee back to Mexico to escape American justice. Her charges are being taken so seriously that the Mexican Foreign Ministry has reportedly opened an investigation. Lou Dobbs, Bill O’Reilly, you guys need to talk to Susan Loera.
