Mickey Mouse Thoughts

Some random observations on Disneyland (I’ve been in southern California all week):

* Watching a show with that Honda robot walking up and down stairs and the rest, all I could think of is that the Japanese are developing humanoid robots and we’re importing illiterates from south of the border – who’s going to end up with the better deal?

* The movie on California’s history at California Adventure is undiluted leftist agit-prop — with Whoopie Goldberg as the host, no less.

* Practically every ride tells you to buckle your seatbelt and watch your

children in Spanish, even though I heard only a handful of actual visitors actually speaking Spanish.

* Not having been on the Jungle Cruise in decades, I was pleased to see that it still insensitively features native tribesmen dancing and hurling spears.

Reciprocity Is the Method to Trump’s Madness

Critics of Donald Trump claim that there’s no rhyme or reason to his foreign policy. But if there is a consistency, it might be called reciprocity. Trump tries to force other countries to treat the U.S. as the U.S. treats them. In “don’t tread on me” style, he also warns enemies that any aggressive act ... Read More
