The Left was already attacking the U.S. Senate for being undemocratic and even racist, and that chorus will get louder with the markedly split result tonight between the House and the Senate. There’s not much they can realistically do about the design of the Senate, but if they get unified control of Washington in 2020, they will probably make a serious effort to bring in a new Democratic state or states, with the focus on Puerto Rico.
