So I’m talking to someone who the president would want on his side (smart, conservative, lawyer) about the president with Abbas in the Rose Garden this morning. I comment that like at prior pressers, the president seemed a bit snippy and dismissive when it came to Miers-nomination critics. We are background chatter, I believe is how he put it. And so my conservative lawyer replies: “So in other words, he is nicer to Arab terrorists than he is to American conservatives.” Sadly, a lot of American conservatives are certainly feeling that way.
