Mika Brzezinski Unloads on Miley Cyrus’s ‘Cringe-Worthy’ VMA Performance

Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski demanded producers never again play footage of Miley Cyrus’ “pathetic, desperate, sick” performance at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards show.

“That young woman who is 20 is obviously deeply troubled, deeply disturbed, clearly has confidence issues, probably an eating disorder,” Brzezinski said this morning. “I don’t think anybody should have put her up on stage — that was disgusting and embarrassing.”

Brzezinski, whose most recent book, Obsessed, focused on food addiction and unhealthy eating habits, reiterated her belief that Cyrus “doesn’t look healthy.”
