Mitt Country

Prediction: Mitt Romney will win Michigan today.

What’s amazing, of course, is that this may count as a bold prediction. Romney has a tremendous home-field advantage and if he can’t win here, it bodes poorly for November. The Republican nominee won’t need Michigan to win in November, but he’ll need to attract the type of voter who will turn out today–the type that we used to identify as a “Reagan Democrat,” a generation ago.
