Mitt the Fraudulent, Murdering, Death-Squad Profiteer — And It’s Only August 10!

At what point does the angry Left move beyond parody? When the Obama campaign made its false felony accusation — just in July, no less — you knew there was more to come. You don’t play the felony card that early in the process unless you’ve got more (and worse) to say.

I must confess, however, that I was a bit surprised that the Democrats went all the way from felony fraud in July to the capitalist robber-baron version of manslaughter in August.  After all, it wasn’t until late September/early October that America learned that George Bush’s failure to support hate-crimes legislation was “like” killing James Byrd “all over again,” and we didn’t know he was a drunk driver until the very eve of the 2000 election.

So, once again, I knew there had to be more and worse dirt than fraud or robber-baron manslaughter.  If you’re looking for the early signs of alien invasion, read the supermarket tabloids.  If you want a window into the mind of the fever-swamp Left, check out HuffPo Politics (motto: “For bigoted conservative warmongers, the news is always bad!”)  So yesterday afternoon I clicked over and was immediately rewarded with . . .

Mitt Romney Started Bain Capital With Money From Families Tied To Death Squads.”

The Saturday Night Live skit writes itself.

Texans and Arizonans will be able to bake cookies on their car dashboards; the garbage on the streets of New York will be especially pungent; Washington will not only figuratively be a swamp. And all across America, coffee consumers will turn their ... Read More

The Warmonger Canard

Whatever the opposite of a rush to war is — a crawl to peace, maybe — America is in the middle of one. Since May 5, when John Bolton announced the accelerated deployment of the Abraham Lincoln carrier group to the Persian Gulf in response to intelligence of a possible Iranian attack, the press has been aflame ... Australia’s Voters Reject Leftist Ideas

Hell hath no fury greater than left-wingers who lose an election in a surprise upset. Think Brexit in 2016. Think Trump’s victory the same year. Now add Australia. Conservative prime minister Scott Morrison shocked pollsters and pundits alike with his victory on Saturday, and the reaction has been brutal ... Read More

We’ve Had Bill Barr’s Back

One of the more dismaying features of the national political debate lately is how casually and cynically Attorney General Bill Barr has been smeared. He is routinely compared to Roy Cohn on a cable-TV program that prides itself on assembling the most thoughtful and plugged-in political analysts and ... Read More
