At what point does the angry Left move beyond parody? When the Obama campaign made its false felony accusation — just in July, no less — you knew there was more to come. You don’t play the felony card that early in the process unless you’ve got more (and worse) to say.
I must confess, however, that I was a bit surprised that the Democrats went all the way from felony fraud in July to the capitalist robber-baron version of manslaughter in August. After all, it wasn’t until late September/early October that America learned that George Bush’s failure to support hate-crimes legislation was “like” killing James Byrd “all over again,” and we didn’t know he was a drunk driver until the very eve of the 2000 election.
So, once again, I knew there had to be more and worse dirt than fraud or robber-baron manslaughter. If you’re looking for the early signs of alien invasion, read the supermarket tabloids. If you want a window into the mind of the fever-swamp Left, check out HuffPo Politics (motto: “For bigoted conservative warmongers, the news is always bad!”) So yesterday afternoon I clicked over and was immediately rewarded with . . .
“Mitt Romney Started Bain Capital With Money From Families Tied To Death Squads.”
The Saturday Night Live skit writes itself.
