The South Carolina primary’s about to get zanier: the super PAC known as “The Definitely Not Coordinated With Stephen Colbert Super PAC” ostensibly run by Jon Stewart now, is now running this ad in South Carolina, using Mitt Romney’s August comment that “corporations are people” to portray him as a “serial killer”:

In a press release, the super PAC said the ad would start running today “in a major ad buy that will blanket South Carolina from Charleston all the way to North Charleston.”

Colbert has formed an exploratory committee to consider running for president, and has talked about participating in the South Carolina GOP primary. However, the primary ballot does not have a write-in option, and Colbert is long past the deadline to file to be on the ballot.
