This remix, “Phony,” sums up Mitt Romney’s problem
I don’t understand why you keep pretending you aren’t rich.
Fake moderate turned fake conservative, what a terrible recipe.
Just to be clear I don’t agree with this singer about Romney. Except that it would be good if Mitt stopped his fingernails-across-the-chalkboard act of pretending to be a regular guy. It’s not going to work.
Americans like rich guys (cf. Donald Trump).
Romney’s disciplined, competent, focused — everything except authentic. The real Romney would be a much better candidate than the guy who is pretending he’s not rich.
