Mitt on Rudy

Mitt Romney was interviewed on the Today Show this morning, and he seemed to step back a bit from his attacks on Giuliani at the same time that he repeated them.  “Frankly both of us lowered taxes,” Romney said of himself and Giuliani.  “Both of us tried to rein in spending.”  So what’s the problem?  Romney went on to push the line-item veto and commuter tax issues, but the Giuliani campaign will surely appreciate the “both of us” assessment.
