I keep hearing — enough to believe it has meaning — that many S.C. Republicans prefer Romney, but don’t think he can win in the general. They voted for McCain, whom they admire (you may have heard he was POW) despite concerns about RINO-ism, figuring he has the best shot at defeating either Hillary or Obama.
