More Bad News From Russia

The Wall Street Journal has a good piece on the latest discouraging development in Russia–the arrest of Gary Kasparov during a peaceful protest — David Pryce-Jones blogged on it here. As anyone who has been following the country even lightly knows, Putin hasn’t exactly warmed to free expression in the last few years.  Pryce-Jones also has a revealing article about Russia’s treatment of the press in the latest issue of NRODT.
