Here’s a follow-up on an earlier Corner post about Dan Rather’s radio interview in North Carolina today, during which he restated his defense of the AWOL story.
The interviewer in question for WPTF-AM was Donna Martinez, who happens to be an employee of mine. Attempts to get the full audio clip posted have not yet come to fruition, but here is a local newspaper story that provides additional details about the exchange, during which Rather did, indeed, say again that he stood behind the 60 Minutes story because no one had proved the documents weren’t authentic.
