A friend writes: “I get the stuff you and Yuval are arguing for, but conservative principles are not to blame for GOP’s sorry state of affairs these days.”
I agree, and I don’t think that political necessity demands that we abandon any of our principles. I do think that we need to do a better job of coming up with policies that apply those principles to contemporary circumstances.
