That John O’Sullivan review of Ramesh’s book should not be missed. It does work nicely, though unintentionally, as a rebuttal to Derb’s review. As noted, the public reaction to recently publicized abortion cases in Britain doesn’t track with Derb’s assertions about the public’s predictable sympathies. Derb’s acknowledged misjudgment about Ramesh’s reaction (which certainly accords with mine following my cold-eyed reading of the piece), seems to be just one of many in his analysis.
