More on Tomorrow’s Nebraska GOP Senate Primary

A Wenzel Strategies poll conducted on Saturday (560 likely voters with “a consistent primary election voting history”) has Attorney General Jon Bruning ahead at 37.7 percent, state senator Deb Fischer following closely at 35.2 percent, and state treasurer Don Sternberg a distant third at 15.7 percent. Both Bruning and Stenberg have high unfavorables at 31 percent, while Fischer, “yet unknown by 25% of the primary election voters,” has low unfavorables — just 9 percent. The survey shows that “8% of likely voters remain undecided in the race, and that 36% are still somewhat or very open to changing their minds before they vote. This finding in the survey shows this race remains remarkably fluid, just two days before the election.” The margin of error is plus/minus 4.12 percent.
