The Morning After

Around Christmastime, AA holds meeting marathons — there’s literally a meeting any time of day or night — in case anyone home alone for Christmas suddenly needs help fighting the urge to drink. In New Hampshire, political junkies this year are being treated to presidential campaign stop marathons. The last presidential campaign event before Christmas was, I think, an Ask Mitt Anything forum in Merrimack at 7:15 Sunday night. If you could make it with only C-SPAN for two whole days, you could catch your next presidential candidate at 8:30 this morning when John McCain hosts a town hall meeting in Pembroke. That’s right, 8:30 the morning after Christmas. Mitt Romney follows at 10 a.m. and John Edwards later this afternoon.
