Morning Joe Rejects Hillary Surrogates Offering to Explain Emails: ‘We Don’t Need Hacks Coming On’

MSNBC’s Morning Joe hosts said they’ve rejected repeated offers from close allies of Hillary Clinton to explain her private email account and server, saying the possible presidential candidate should explain herself and not rely on “hacks.”

Hillary’s half-hearted Twitter response on Wednesday, where she urged the State Department to release all her emails, was seen as insufficient explanation for the scandal. Most observers now believe Clinton will have to personally address the issue — and some are beginning to resent her reliance on her many political surrogates.

“A couple of Hillary Clinton supporters, very close to her, have reached out to me and offered to be on the show,” said Mika Brzezinski. “And I just said, ‘No, we’d like to talk to her.’”

“If she wants to talk, she can talk,” Joe Scarborough agreed. “We don’t need hacks coming on, and saying really — no, hacks! I don’t know who you’ve been talking to, but they’re sending out hacks right now saying really stupid things that are insulting to all of us — including Democrats!”
