The Corner

This much is true

Fans of 1980s music might be interested in the fact that the lead singer of Spandau Ballet is a conservative. I heard Tony Hadley sing his heart out tonight and he also praised former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith’s speech on what is foolishly called “social” justice. The tastefully named IDS gave what has generally been accepted as one of the most brilliant speeches the conference has heard. He genuinely earned a seven-minute standing ovation. ConservativeHome has more, of course.
