I just wanted to write and thank NRO for a truly outstanding editorial on “‘Torture in the Senate”. This editorial very effectively summarizes, assesses and highlights all of the relevant issues associated with this debate over the legality of waterboarding and whether or not it is torture. Your editorial today also does an excellent job uncovering the political underbrush that covers over why the Democrats are being so hypocritical during this hearing before the Judiciary Committee — Mukasey says its torture and President Bush and his administration are condemned as torturers. This should satisfy the “net-roots”. No it won’t and nothing ever will!!
