Multiple people are reportedly dead at a community college campus in southwestern Oregon, where authorities told Fox News they responded to a report of a shooting Thursday at around 10:30 a.m. local time.
There is “no longer a threat,” according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Dept. spokesperson, citing dispatchers. The spokesperson said multiple assets were on site and EMS is on the scene.
The ATF said on Twitter that it had special agents on the scene.
As with all events like this, expect many of the early reports to be wrong. And while it will be immediately politicized, responsible adults will wait on the facts before making judgments about the incident.
For now, all we can do is mourn the loss of our fellow citizens and ask for God to bless the victims and their families.
