Murtha The Conservative

I agree with your last comment — that Murtha’s image is not conservative.  But did you read the comments that followed the article by Crowley?  Some of them talked about that very thing — and mentioned Murtha’s great rapport with the troops as well.  Personally, I remember Murtha being taken to task by a soldier a few months back, but I’m not unhappy to have the Dems think this is a good idea.  I agree with Crowley — I think this is a bad move for the Dems because while it might energize their base it might also have a corresponding effect on Republican voters.  My first reaction on hearing the news last night was that Karl Rove was smiling.
