Lots of folks seem to think I’m trying to carry a lot of water for Bob Novak today. For the record, I’ve never been a huge fan of Novak’s and as you may recall my first response in the Corner was to say his outburst was unprofessional and indefensible. I still think that’s true, as does Novak which is why he’s apologized. Maybe, I shouldn’t have used Novak as the peg to make my point, because I think it stands alone fairly well. At the same time, I think the Plame spin is worth knocking down. Anyway, I’m off to pick-up my womenfolk at the airport. So I’ll hand off Corner duties to the others for a while.
