Myers Week

[In response to a reader query]  No, to the best of my knowledge, Kevin Myers the aid-to-Africa-skeptical Irish journalist is not related to P.Z. Myers, the Minnesota prof. who wants you to send him a consecrated Host so he can stomp on it. However, given that the Irish church has traditionally (for, oh, 1,400 years or so) had an energetically save-the-world orientation, my guess would be that Myers (Kevin) is about as popular with Ireland’s Catholic establishment right now as Myers the Host-stomper is with ours.

And I am sorry, the leprechauns got to the news-story link in my previous post. Should have been here.
