I know Ramesh and Peter Robinson have both linked to this already but I only got around to reading it this weekend. Gerard Alexander’s <a href="http://www.claremont.org/writings/crb/spring2004/alexander.html
” target=”_blank”> debunking of the liberal conventional wisdom on GOP racism is really outstanding. It’s in the Claremont Review of Books, which has really taken flight in its short time on the scene. Since Alexander’s piece has been out for a while, I was wondering if any serious liberals have tried to rebut it? I would love to know what Ruy Teixeira, Peter Beinart or Josh Marshall make of this. If anybody’s seen a sincere attempt by folks from that crowd, please send it along.
