I can’t help but think this is a pretty big deal. I don’t follow Naral (pronounced like gnarl) that closely, but I cannot recall another time when they’ve backed down from a cheap, dishonest attack before. And, let’s face it, very few people outside of the glassy-eyed shock troops of the hardcore abortion rights movement think this was the first cheap shot they’ve taken.
The Roberts nomination windfall keeps pouring in. Not only is the nomination costing the left a lot of money and effort on a nominee who will likely win anyway — diminishing the power and prestige of these lefty interest groups in the process — but it’s costing them credibility with people from their own side, even in the media. How can the press not work just a bit harder to fact-check Naral next time?
